Development and Financial Management

Charitable giving is a major means of support for many nonprofits and can substantially improve the financial health of associations. CMG staff is skilled at securing the contributions that can fund programs, meetings and so much more. CMG carefully assesses each client's needs, creating an individualized development strategy. Services include preparing professional proposals; identifying sources of funding that match the client's key priorities; organizing and supporting fundraising volunteers; creating, launching and accounting for development campaigns; and maintaining strong relationships with all donors, past and present.

Financial management is strength of CMG; it is a critical service required for association management, and CMG takes seriously the fiduciary responsibility of a Board to its members. CMG has a highly experienced accountant on staff to oversee all procedures for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Journal entries. CMG is experienced in the systems that generate invoices and record pertinent information into the relative database and accounting software.

CMG is skilled in handling investments and follows established procedures to maximize income from investments. With the authorization of the client Finance Committee and in accordance with the directives of the association, CMG monitors daily cash flow and has established banking relationships for daily transactions to ensure that all available cash is maintained in investments that maximize income.

CMG arranges for an independent audit of the financial records to be conducted and reported to the Board of Directors annually.
